Yippee! we are getting ready for Baseball 2008.
The Vestavia Rebels coached by my nephew, Dal Davis is busy practicing with their season opening on February 18th. Yes February 18th. Preston and Sawyer have had their try-outs and teams are being picked as I write this. Preston will be on the 6 year old league. Sawyer is only 4, but he did so good at try-outs, he was moved up to the 5 year old league. After all, he has been playing and practicing since he was 2 with Preston's teams. (see picture above).
Kelsey, granddaughter is busy playing basketball with Springville Elementary School. She has also signed up to play softball in Springville. My grand-nephews Phillips and Preston Davis are gearing up for baseball. Phillip 13, will be playing with McAdory School this year. Preston 6, will be playing with the McCalla youth baseball. Preston D. is just finishing up with basketball this week. Lake Lane, grand-nephew in Jacksonville, NC will be playing T-ball this year. He will be on the 5 year old team. This is a nice drive for a t-ball game, but we do plan on coming to one of your games too. Well our spring and summer is going to be full of watching ball games.
