OUR FIRST WEEK IN FEBRUARY -

Sunday, Dal, Kim, Cole, Brenda, Asa, Preston D., Parker, Phillip, Ken and me watched the Super Bowl. They were all hoping Arizona would take the win. Well now we are ready for baseball. Vestavia Rebels are practicing and the season opens soon. All the little guys are signed up for baseball too. Now we feel like spring is getting here. Monday, I had my annual mammogram and surgial oncologit appointment. I have been a cancer survivor for 7 years. Everything was normal. Great report again this year. and will It was a joy going to see Dr. Schumate; He gave me an excellent report and does not weigh me (yippee). On the way back through the hospital to parking, I got me a StarBucks which had just opened. This made Monday a GREAT DAY! Tuesday (today), Ken is having a PET Stress Test at Trinity Hospital at 2. Brookwood does not have this test available. Dr. Colon wanted Ken to undergo this type Stress Test this time. It is new type 2 hour stress type. Since I had so many PET's to check we during my five years of close watch, which were all negative, I am anxious to see how this test is performed. Wednesday, Sawyer goes to Children's Hospital. Dr. M....his Gastrointestinal doctor wants to get another opinion before he starts him on infusion treatment. The oral medications were working as Dr. M. had hoped. The infusion result with children has been very successful. Will report back on this. Keep little Sawyer in your prayers. No matter what, Sawyer always has a big SMILE. He is a tough little guy. Thursday, Ken is having an Echocardiogram and appointment with his cardiologist. They will review the test results and decide what medications, etc. they recommend for him. All his bloodwork tests have been normal. Friday, No doctor's appointments. YIPEE.... IF the weather remains nice, we may have to take a long drive and play. Saturday, Preston D. and Sawyer are having a cousin's private birthday party together at the Skating Rink/Laser Tag Center in Trussville. Preston D is turning 7 and Sawyer was 5 on January 27th. Family and friends are invited. This should be tons of fun for everyone.
