Today, Alabama was blanketed with a beautiful layer of snow. It came in in the early morning; decided at noon it was time to leave. Out came the sun and now most of the snow has departed. Churches suspended their services and everyone got to enjoy the snow's short visit. TV reported the last snow was in 1993. We had flurries since then, but no significant accumulations. Some places got up to 5 inches or more. We did not get but a little over 1 1/2 inches. Our friends in Michigan and Pennsylvania get a big laugh at us for getting so excited over such a small amount of snow. It was fun but now I am glad to have our warmer weather returning next week. We are ready for Spring now.
