THE NEW PAULA DEEN RESTAURANT IN TUNICA IS WONDERFUL

We enjoyed our long weekend in Tunica. So did a lot of other Paula Deen fans. Her Show "Personally with Paula Deen and Family" was great. She had a lots of laughs and introduced her husband Michael, brother Bubba, Michael's brother who is a priest in New Orleans and her famous Aunt Peg who raised her and Bubba after her Mom died at at early age. Her two sons and family were not able to be there. They all were so much like a typical Southern family anywhere. There were so many laughs. The show was great. She also passed out a sample of her cooking to the audience. Yummy. The restaurant is designed exactly to look like her home in Savannah with a long white porch with each room displaying a room similar to her home. Great architectural design and is on the second floor of Harrah's Casino. As you go into the restaurant from the porch, there is Paula Deen's Store which has a replica of her kitchen with all of her cookbooks and neat items resonably priced. You can stay in her store fwhile you are waiting to get seated at the buffet restaurnt. There is a long wait now but this will slow day after the Memorial Day Holiday. She seated 4300 people on Friday. WOW....The buffet has her famous fried chicken, mashed taters, mac and cheese, collard greens, hoe cakes and ice tea. The same menu just like at Lady & Sons. We highly recommend you visit if you are in the Memphis area. Pictures will be added as soon as we are home and downloaded.
